Jantar Mantar

Jantar Mantar is an observatory, which was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the 18th century. It housed huge masonry instruments, which were used for studying movements of stars and constellations in the night sky. Its humongous sun-dial is still providing correct time, which is subject to regular corrections.
