The property is a living collection of architectural history, featuring eleven authentic wooden houses that were carefully dismantled from rural Cambodian villages and meticulously restored on-site. An elegant 20-meter saltwater infinity pool overlooks a pastoral landscape of lush gardens and rice paddies, offering a serene retreat that preserves the soul of the traditional Khmer countryside.

House Mouy
The house of many roofs.House No. 1, "Mouy" in Khmer, distinguishes itself by its unique triple roof and its horizontal cladding. It is one of the first to be seen by visitors on their arrival at Sala Lodges and is situated on the right-hand side of the main pathway. It was the last house to be delivered to the site, in September, 2012.The house of many roofs can accommodate up to three people. Sleeping arrangements are modular: a double bed and a single bed or three single beds.
House Bram
The high house.With its vast terrace looking out on to the Sala Lodges’ "village", "Bram", No 5 in English, is ideal for the adventurous who like heights. Originally from Srü, in the Kompong Thom province situated some 150 km east of Siem Reap, it was built in 1985 and can accommodate up to three people. Guests of this lodge will certainly not want to miss the opportunity to enjoy a meal on their large terrace which, given its height, often benefits from a very welcome natural breeze.
House Bram Mouy
The fishmongers’ house.House No. 6, "Bram mouy" in Cambodian, is amongst the oldest in Sala Lodges. Built in 1958, it was discovered in the village of Or, in the Sang Voeuy commune. This village in the province of Siem Reap is situated some 60 kilometres from the town.This lodge can accommodate up to three people in three single beds. The bedroom of more than 36 m2 opens out on to large trees. The large bathroom is equipped with a rain shower. The terrace looks out to the south-east, allowing guests to make the most of the superb Cambodian sunsets.
Decorated in turquoise hues, this house is slightly smaller than the rest and is loved as much as the others by the architect.
House Bram Pi
The house with grey shutters.Situated a stone’s throw from the swimming pool and open-air lounge, house No. 7, " Bram pi" in Khmer, constitutes an ideal refuge for guests wanting to enjoy a verdant and peaceful environment.The bedroom of approximately 41.5 m2 is decorated with patinated furniture from India, a country which has had a strong influence on Khmer culture. At the time of its construction in the XIIth century, the famous temple Angkor Wat was initially consecrated to the Hindu god Vishnu before being dedicated to Buddhism towards the XVIth century. The Khmer language contains many words with their origin in Sanskrit.
House Bram Bei
The house with the horizontal cladding.House No. 8, "Bram Bei" in Khmer, is one of two houses in Sala Lodges with horizontal cladding. Built in 1965 it was recovered from Yeang, in the Russey commune. The village’s name means bamboo. It is situated in the province of Siem Reap, approximately 50 kilometres from the town centre.Three people can be accommodated in the bedroom measuring 38 m2. According to need, the space can be rearranged into three single beds or one double and one single bed. The light and airy bathroom of 10 m2 is equipped with a rain shower. Guests of this lodge will be able to relax on the pretty terrace, enhanced by an indented and slightly tilted balustrade.
House Bram Boun
The house with a view of the sacred tree.House No. 9, "Bram boun" in Cambodian, was christened "view of the sacred tree" as its charming 11 m2 terrace opens on to an abacus in front of which the local villagers come to lay their offerings. According to their faith, this Buddha tree shelters good spirits which must be cherished and cared for.This house was delievered to Sala Lodges at the beginning of December 2011. Three people can be accommodated in this lodge which benefits from a sense of privacy. It can be arranged as three single beds or as one double and one single bed according to requirements.
House Dop
The house with the tilted balcony.Low-lying and long, house No. 10, "Dop" in Cambodian, possesses a terrace of more than 27 m2, with an indented and slightly tilted balustrade. Situated on the edge of the central pathway of the hotel, this lodge is at the heart of the « village », two paces away from the open air lounge and not far from the swimming pool. It is equipped with a large bathroom of 11.5 m2, complete with rain shower. The bedroom measures approximately 46 m2 and has been decorated with with furniture with a patina.
House Dop Mouy
The honeymoon house.The room measures 46 m2 and is decorated in black and white. A double bed stands majestically in the centre of the room. Decorated in pastel blue tones, the room has patinated furniture from India, a country which has had a strong influence on Khmer culture. House Boun
The house on a podium.Ideal for welcoming families, this house was built in 1983 and is originally from Opo, a village situated in the Preah Vihear province, approximately 200 kilometers east of Siem Reap. Its rooftop reaches 9 metres in height.With a surface area of almost 60 m2 on the first floor and 35 m2 on the ground floor, the house can accommodate up to five people: three guests in the bedroom upstairs which has a large double bed and a sofa bed, and two guests in the single beds which can be rearranged as a double bed in the downstairs bedroom. Each room has its own private bathroom. The two rooms are part of the same unit but do not have connecting doors.
House Pi & Bei
The family houses.With its four sided-roof, the family house is the largest in Sala Lodges. The ideal setting for families. Connecting rooms are each equipped with a separate entrance and a private bathroom with a rain shower. Each room has a terrace of 55 m2 which can be combined or remain separate to provide a more intimate space.
