The Kinabatangan Jungle Camp was established in the year 2004 in the lower Kinatangan Wildlife Sanctuary near the village of Bilit. The whole concept is simply truly jungle. Today, many repeat visitors especially birders still come to KJC to search for the very illusive Bornean Ground Cuckoo and others still try their luck to see the Clouded Leopard.
Accomodation
We have 8 Double/Twin Sharing Room with Bathroom Attached (maximum 2 persons) and 6 Family/Honeymoon Room with Bathroom Attached and each family room can sleep 4 people. All rooms have high ceiling fan, bathroom attached with hot shower. Night Temperature at the Camp is quite pleasant at 24'C
Dining
The restaurant serves good Malay food, with its pleasant open air terrace providing a great spot to enjoy a sun-downer.
Recreation
KJC is one of the best lodges in Kinabatangan River that offers the opportunity for tourist to stay close to the wildlife. Here, in nature only slightly touched by humans, you can still spot orangutans, proboscis monkeys, macaques, sun bears, crocodiles, rare Borneo ‘pygmy’ elephants, and Sumatran rhinoceros. Over 250 species of colorful tropical birds are present in this area which promises a paradise for bird watchers.
